When looking at my own hair and my hair needs, I noted that in any product I used or created I wanted it to seal in moisture without weighing it down. I had no issue using products that would moisturize my hair, but sealing in the moisture was the issue along with using quality ingredients that yielded the results I desired and as we all know one of the main causes of hair breakage is DRYNESS.
I began reading, watching videos, and talking to others who shared similar hair challenges about their hair routines. One way to lock in moisture is using the L-O-C method which essentially means using liquid, oil, and cream!
Recently, I have received an increase of correspondence from customers looking for hair ways to best keep their tresses moisturized, and as I fully believe in the L-O-C- method, I wanted to provide all my customers will a breakdown of the method and products to be used.
- LIQUID
- While liquid could consist of water or any water based product to feed the hairs need for hydration, water or the Organic Scalp Refreshing Mist can be used to lubricate the hair. Make sure to give extra love to the ends of your hair since these are the oldest and driest part of your hair.
- OIL
- Oil is necessary to create a layer around the hair shaft that prevents water from escaping, which in turn helps hair to stay moisturized for longer periods. Our Organic Hair Growth Oil or our Breakage Defense Hot Oil Treatment can be used for this step!
- CREAM
- Your cream should seal the hair cuticle or act as a sealant, thus preventing moisture loss. For this step, our Conditioning Leave In Hair Cream or Moisture Sealing Hair Butter
With the L-O-C method, the liquid opens up the hair cuticles to allow the moisture to enter your hair strands, the oil is able to penetrate your hair shafts enabling hair to become softer and shiner while aiding in moisture retention, and the cream locks in the moisture of the oil so your hair will be moisturized for a longer period of time. It is important to identify potential reasons for your dry hair so you can address and combat the issue at the source. Looking into these common issues that may be causing your hair to be dry could alleviate and help you get back on track toward your hair goals.

I started out using the hair grease, and now I’ve started using the shampoo, conditioner and oil (trio) I am noticing improvements (not itching) and hair growth. I will be ordering more products very soon. Continue to make products that will improve scalp healing and hair growth.
