Since beginning my line I have since seen an increase of store bought products that claim to be using African Black Soap in their products. Known as Black Soap, it is harvested in Ghana and other areas of West Africa.
As it has become more commercial, it has become more and more complicated due to so many fake products on the market that don’t have the true strength. While I have Black Soap products on my line, I was unaware that so many people did not know/understand the great benefit that came along with Black Soap! It was not until I was asked “why I use Black Soap and what benefit does it provide?”
So…..LET’S TALK ABOUT IT!
African Black Soap differs from other soaps as it does not have lab-produced bases, like phosphorous, iron, magnesium, silicon, aluminum, and manganese oxides, along with unburnt carbon and hydrogen peroxide. Real African black soap is all-natural and feeds nourishment to the scalp, instead of stripping the nutrients away. In doing my research, a driving force of using it was that due to it’s makeup it is not harmful for your body because you’re not absorbing and inhaling toxic substances.
African Black Soap is full of vitamins and minerals that your hair follicles can use to make thicker and longer hair while also possessing anti-aging qualities. The antioxidants help to combat aging of the hair follicles. This can be particularly useful if you are middle-aged and experiencing thinning or slowed hair growth. African black soap has a high oil and glycerin content, making it the ideal cleanser for keeping your hair and scalp clean, yet moisturized. African Black Soap also has the ability to soften and moisturize the hair. You’ll still need to use conditioner after you use the soap, but it doesn’t leave your hair hard and dry as many other synthetic shampoos do. African black soap is antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial. It effectively cleans your scalp, leaving the perfect environment for follicle cells to grow hair. It’s an excellent cleanser to use for hair loss and other conditions like eczema and itchy scalp, while also promoting hair growth by increasing the blood circulation of the scalp and is great for both low and high porosity hair.
